Hi everyone. I got a 87 K5, I went to do a top end on it and I found the lower end is loose and doesn't feel very good. So i'm going to do a ful rebuild. My question is will the 88 rod fit, or do I need to get the 87. I ask this because I can't get an 87 topend, which is fine because the 88 piston will work. But the wrist pin bearings are different. The other question i have is when i have the crank pressed, it needs to be balanced, right? And if so could any mod shop do this or should I send it some where. Thanks again for everyones help with all my questions.
