I still have this magazine in a trunk!!!  I have almost every DIRTRIDER, DIRTBIKE, and MOTOCROSS ACTION magazine since about 1986!!!  God I'm pathetic. :lol:

i know a guy that sold all his old mags to a mxer that wanted to catch up on the past 10 years, anyways he got $100 for them anyways

USMC, i'll happily buy everything youve got with the 86 kx500 in if you dont need those issues anymore, gizza pm if your up for it, cant find em anywhere.

You have to own a CR500R/AF to join CR500Riders.

I live in the past and I am too attached to my babies.....however I will do this for ya......I am almost done with my k5 restoration......I will leave you my mags in my will just in case my 5 hunnie rockets me head first into the canyon wall like the wiley coyote chasin the roadrunner...... :-D

I am holding a copy of the September 1986 issue of dirt bike and it has the "6 meanest 500's" shootout in it.....I'll try to scan the article and post it up...

Thanks for posting up that article, fun read, makes me want to go out and ride. I miss $4000 brand new big bore bikes, what a new 450 cost, 9-10 grand?

http://www.mxworksbike.com/1989%20RC500.htm  i like this article about eric geboers factory cr500  :-P i just finich rebuilding my cr500 engine (pics) my comparing kx500 vs cr500 : the powerband of a kx is better then the cr (standard) but i ame more the honda fan becouse the mecanic for the gearing and other things are better + i find the looks of a cr is more my thing
