Does anyone put locktite on the rear sprocket bolts? thx
-
Ted,
I use Red Loctite on my riders as I will not be swapping sprockets very often & had a nut back off & it took out the hub ($). Feel it is worth the extra time to fight the loctite when it's time for the added insurance.

Let's see some pics of your progress too!

Yes. Red loctite and I torque them +10% as well. Those bolts are usuallly good quality. Cam.

Thanks guys.

I am generally NO fan of Loctite. However it is a necessity on a few motocross bike components.
Rear sprocket bolts. (especially on a big hp KX500 ! )
reed petal retaining screws
I also have learned to use some "Blue" on the KX500 subframe bolts.

Good ideas! Will use that on my bike as well.
