Title: 90 Kx500 rebuild ...
Post by: IcemanK5 on November 23, 2009, 09:12:40 AM
Started on her last summer. Got the motor rebuilt, had a heavier fly wheel installed. Changed the rear gear up a 50 tooth. Left the front stock one on.
Put a 4.2 clark tank on her, bark busters, new chain, DNA-X wheels with all new bearing and rubber.
Just got to replace the front and rear fender and she is good for the winter. Now she pulls any hill I can stay on and is a good trail bike with lots of low end.

Nice ride man. I have always loved gold rims on the Kawi's and if I ever get to the point of getting new rims that is exactly what I will get.

Thanks folks. I still have a few things to do on her.
The rims are 08 KX450f DNA-Xtrem wheels (600.00). I just had to change the bearing out to fit the 90 axsle's. I changed the rear calipra mount to fit the rotor. I needed new rims so I just went with everything new, bearings , tires , tubes.
