I would like to start racing 400ft with 2000 KX250. I don't know much about drag racing in the dirt. I have motocrossed all my life and drag raced a pro gas car years ago. Can some one with a little experience give a few pointers.
What would be the fastest time for a modified 250?
How much should I stretch the swingarm?
Tire choice?
I know there is much to learn. I would just like to jump in somewhere in the middle and not at the end of the pack.

Where are you located? What type of Sand track, Is it a moist sand or is it light & fluffy? Current Mods if any?

im a 400ft dirt drag racer from va. . had a kx250 2002. 285 big bore. . 44mm carb.all motor on gas . 4inch swingarm ex. 18in 10 paddle paddle tire. . it ran 5.72 in 400ft. . setup all depends on kinda track soil your track is. . im running a kx500 now. hope this helps some

Mr Fowler, Thanks for the info, I'm sure it will help. I've been looking your bike over, or at least the one in the picture on madmans site. What size front wheel are you running. It looks small.
