I normally don't get into pluging products on the internet unless the item REALLY impress me. Well, for years i've been using Simple Green to wash the mud and grime off my bikes, and it always worked good, until a few weeks ago when a good friend who cleans boats told me about a kick a$$ cleaning product called Purple Power:

This product is hands down the BALLZ for removing dirt, oil and grime from your bike. Spray your bike down, let the bike sit for about 5-10 min, and hose it off (a pressure washer works even better if you have one). Purple Power is really concentrated, as it will actually make bare aluminum shine like new. Don't leave Purple power on for long periods of time, as it can taint the aluminum surface. Try it !!

I have been using that stuff for years & have found it to be the most powerful cleaner available to us average guys. As stated, be very careful as to what you apply on (it contains alkylane) such as anodized forks, polished aluminum, etc, as it is some MEAN stuff. It is also available at the Home Depot (Zep Product) for under $10/Gallon concentrated.

will this bring tainted aluminum back to raw cast aluminum look?

I have used that stuff before and I recommend that you mix it with water. At full strength I have seen that stuff stain the alumn parts. Good cleaner but be careful with it.
