Title: mods
Post by: matzilla on October 22, 2009, 04:11:20 AM
I was looking around on the internet at all things K5, when I came across this place called bikepics.  I just searched KX500 images and it was one of the results.  The first K5 pic is labeled a 2009 KX500, it is in Spain.  You should see the pics of this bike.  Some subtle changes that make it look more modern, and amazing.  He seems to have changed the way the silencer mounts to the subframe, it angles the silencer up to kind of match the angle of the modded rear fender.  He also trimmed the side covers and that changes the look of the whole back end.  I am already looking into what it will take to mod the subframe and silencer to mount like that.  what do you all think.  here is the link

That bike looks awesome, I wish Ty Davis still sold the low boy pipe and fuel tank....

i was zooming in on some of the pics, and saw that the front of the rear fender has a stock look to it.  it comes down around the hole in the subframe where the exhaust comes through.  doesn't look like the trimmed 93 kx250 fender.  any idea what this is from?  also, the side panels don't look cut.  it says the bike is in spain.  are these euro parts or something?

I trimmed my side panels to match.  It does look much better.
