Hello,
My name is Dave. I live on the Cumberland Plateau in Deer Lodge Tennessee.I am new here and look forward to chatting about my hobby. I have worked as an auto service tech. for about 25 yrs. and have aquired quite a few tools and equipment for auto service.
I have a 99 KX500; a 99 KDX220; a 93 KX125; a 95 yamaha warrior 350. All were badly delapitated when I got them, the 125 and the Warrior shoulda probbably just been junked out,But I saw a glimmer of hope. They have come a long way since we have been together. All have been together and apart, together and apart, Over & over trying to work out various issues with each machine. It gets very trying and disheartening (is that a word?)at times. I grew up relatively poor and never was an over achiever in school, so I learned to do nearly anything with nothing.I consider my self to be a fair mechanic and somewhat of a detective.
Anyway, Hello to all and I look Forward to asking for help and trying to help.

Dave,
I haven't been around here in a while but am trying to check in daily.
Welcome to the club! There has been lots of info covered here.
I also have a soft spot for what other folks would have junked.
Didn't have very much growing up either and seemed to have spent way to much on my kids.
We just "rescued" a 2002 crf450f (I know....) Oy... I started tearing it down and making My "List"
of things to R&R...what was that term You used...oh yea, "DisHeartened"...
At least when I picked up my 2000 Kx 500 it was already in 4 boxes...
My '85 XR 600 was out behind a U Store it, and my CR500 was at least a rolling chassis. Engine in three boxes.
Enough rambling... Welcome aboard!
