anyone ad this happen before... i had one of those gear that spin on the shaft seized right on it? i did rebuild the buttom end a few weeks ago but put more than 10 hours on the bike since and all gears where working perfectly?
and then after some 1 hour of riding, i was sitting there on neutral and rev the bike up and heard than sounds and the bike died... the bike would not go in gear anymore so split the case and found the problem...
any idea.

That happened to my 500. No ideas, of what the cause was. I tried ATF, and even though I doubt that caused it, I went back to 10w40. It had to be pressed off.

Fredodido,
What type of oil/ATF have you been using?
-
yep, ATF type F. the oil was kind of fresh, about 2 hour of riding on it, and the level was just a notch under the top of the window...
You guys think i should be going with the recomended 10w40 oil?
-
There seems to be a common factor here with the "Floating" gear galling itself to the shaft. I know what I won't be using in MY gearbox, but will continue using 10/40 & 20/50. I hope others will recognize this & not experience the same problem.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, hope your riding soon.

From day one when i heard guys running atf in bike trans, i was saying not hear.

Fredodido, mine did the exact thing yours did.
I talked to a local long time Kawi/Husky mechanic, and he said this was caused due to oil starvation. Mine was leaning on the side stand, so the oil all went to the left side of the case and caused the seizure.
He said to prevent this, he runs one full quart of oil in the trans.
