tell me your experience with this....

Its BIG, its FAT, it HOOKS in sand or Very loamy conditions. I am running this on my KX250 (Dirt Drag) which I tried the 110 x 19 Paddle (now called the Saw Blade),tried the 5.30 x 18 Cheng Shin (5.60 x 18 was on Backorder) (Much better than the Saw Blade / but needed more hook) finally got the 5.60 and am VERY HAPPY with the results. Looking at my K5 yesterday as I will be fitting a 5.60 on that also and almost certain that some type of mod will be needed for it to fit as it is ALOT taller than your standard knobbie or even the 110 x 19 paddle.
My 250 wheel is ALL the way back in the swingarm and it barely accomodates.

so the 560 is not a direct bolt on? i have a 50 tooth rear sprocket right now.

are you currently running an 18" rim? I will try to get pictures of my drag bike with the 5.60 paddle & my rider with the 110 x 19 knobbie so you can see the difference that it needs in swingarm clearance.

i have a 19 inch rear rim with a maxxis 120 tire on it for dirt riding, it has the stock rear 47 tooth sprocket....and my paddle rim and tire is 18 inch 8 paddle with a 50 tooth rear sprocket.

wow, that paddle makes the bike look like it can float on water. lol. what gearing are you running with the paddle and how long is your chain? im really interested in putting one of these tires on now that i see it. thank you for taking the time to show the pictures :-D

Those pics of your 250 with the 5.60 paddle look nasty. I think my 250 would like one if I run into an 18" rim.

Sort of an old post, but I have a few things to add.
I picked up a 560x18-10 for my Kx5 today. Mine has an 87 swingarm on it, with the older style adjusters. As stated before, it's much larger than the 530x18-8. I knew as soon as I compared the two it wasn't going to be a direct fit. It went onto the rim easily, had no problems getting the tube or rim lock in. I also got a longer chain, the 114 link was not going to be long enough (I'm, running a 12t front sprocket already). To get the tire to not hit the swingarm, I had to run it almost all the way back (line 5 of 6). Even with it on the 5th mark it was still close to the gusset on the front right corner. The problem with leaving it there was the chain was not even close to being tight. To get it in the propper tension, I had to pull the wheel all the way back. The chain was just tight enough then. I could have let it be like that but didn't. Figuring the chain will strech some the first ride (and the axle at the end of the adjustment), I took out a link. This put the tire back into the front corner once the chain was adjusted correctly. My fix was to clearance the corner of the paddles with a grinder. Probably not the best solution, but I think it will be fine (I've heard the Cr500 guys have to do this to run a paddle). I've got close to 1/8" clearance now, hopefuly it will be enough. But I'm guessing the tire will grow at speed. I ran the bike in the backyard and didn't have any trouble, but couldn't get out of second gear. Maybe I will get it out into a field to do a better test.
On the plus side, this thing hooks up better than the new 756 I took off. The ground is real moist right now and this tire digs right in. I'm going to SilverLake next weekend and will report back with my results.

Went to the dunes on saturday. The tire worked awesome. Hooked up way better than the 8 paddle. I was a little worried about the lack of clearance between the paddles and the swingarm, but it was not an issue. I had more issues with the tire hitting the silencer and rubbing the fender when landing from jumps. I should have went back to stock gearing (I'm running a 12t front, stock rear). First gear was basicly useless...it was like that with stock gearing and the 8 paddle though. Second gear I was still able to spin easily, but still able to get the front end up. 3rd, 4th, and 5th is where the tire really hooked. Third gear would bring the front end up with just a light throttle twist. Drag racing (the strip is wet, packed sand) I couldn't launch in second. Either the motor would bog or the bike would hook and flip over...couldn't find the middle ground. Launching in first I'd have to sit up on the tank to keep the front end down, and stay there as I went through the gears. I'm very happy with this tire. It was well worth the effot to get it to fit the bike. Best $38 I've spent in awhile.

It's $45.81 at BikeBandit. With the AMA discount it came down to $38.93, and I had a $10 gift card (covered the shipping)...for a grand total of $38.93
I haven't used a Skat Trak, but everything I have heard about them has been great. Supposed to be one of the better paddle tires out there. The only downside to the Hooker is the cost. The ChengShin was a cheap buy for me, plus I was needing a new paddle.

Thanks, my Hooker is over 10 years old and showing it. I'm just weighing my options, another Skat Trak, the Cheng Shin, or a Kings.

Love my 12cup viper. Sakat trak. Best paddle I have ever run. 10cup reccomened for stockish bikes though.
