Title: Steel Clutch Plates
Post by: Larry Wiechman on August 10, 2009, 03:45:12 PM
Anyone know what OEM Kawasaki steel clutch plates can be used in a KX500 (89) ? I've seen a few aftermarket sets on Ebay, but would like to be able to get them from local dealer. (And dazzle'em with my parts interchangeability knowledge.)

Not sure there are any kawasaki steels, I use Barnett steels and kawi fibers.

can i also just note(it might be common knowledge) that some fibre plates do not like synthetic gear oil,too my expense i bought friction plates once and synthetic oil from the same place and the same time and within 1/2hour the plates had exploded leaving me with a seized box and another strip-down to find the bits..
