I pulled off the pipe and found deep grooves in the right side cylinder exaust port where the o-rings seat. Is this common? Any recomendations for a fix.
-
Is the pipe mount under the tank still there? Has it been repaired? Chances are the pipe mount was broken - or is now - and was left that way for awhile. Doesn't take long...

When you install your pipe, smear on a liberal amount of black high temp silicon, right over both o-rings, and then shove the pipe into the exhaust port. The grooves are caused by the pipe moving around. Not only does the silicon restrict movement, it will also create a better seal than the o-rings and give you more bottome end throttle response.

You might need NEW O-Rings AND a NEW COPPER Ring. As these get worn they allow the pipe to move TOO Much in the cylinder port.
I change about every 60 hours (When I ring/top-end).

Wow, Manny, you rering the top end every 60 hours? That would make be installing 10-12 top ends a year  . I usually do only three top ends a year, even with all the riding.

I follow the service limits

Uh, guys...
Paul jumps outta pefectly good Aircraft; so, you might think a little when he implies..."Limits". :?

The pipe mounts are solid. The bike had been dumped on the left side and the pipe had been repaired. The bend at the port does not line up "just as it should". The copper crush washer is also toast. Good to find out about the black silicone. I thought it was spitting Bile at me outa spite. Darn thing has an attitude! As far as Paul jumping outa good planes, what can I say. It took 60+ jumps and a tree for me to figure it out. How I wish I had the K5 then. The Drop zones and pits on Bragg would be a blast to ride.

I also set to Sea on ships designed to sink
hooah!

Oh Yeah, I forgot...
Paul's also a Dolphin...

Heck, stick that Dolphin on a 500 and shoot him out the back of a perfectly good airplane for a water landing in fifth gear pinned to get the hydroplaning going, and you got yourself a real nice piece of footage for Real TV...
