Title: KX250 Power/Torque curve
Post by: pickledkiwi on July 30, 2009, 10:14:13 PM
Hi Guys

Does anyone know of, or have a link to, some Dyno stats for a 1999 KX250. I'm trying to get a handle on where the most usable power is in the rev range.

Thanks
PK

i doubt if showing you the figures is going to help unless you have a rev-counter on your bike, its all in the feel of things, just ride along changing gears at different rpms and cracking open the throttle, this should give you the basic idea and sound of the engine to which its chucking out the most, also bhp and torque are different you will get the most bhp higher up the range for eg.in the powerband, torque is much different, this you will find when opening up the gas and finding how much pull the bike has, these will be at different rpms to each other,if you want more torque buy a 4stroke!! hope this helps!

Thanks DD, but I'm interested in the science of it as much as the feel of it.
