Title: 112cc Cylinder
Post by: jc7622 on June 27, 2009, 12:21:55 PM
Has anyone here converted their KX100 to 112cc?  If so, did you do it all by boring it or does it also require a new rod?  How did it change the power (low end, top end, all over, etc)?

First off what year 100 are we talking about ? The 95-97 kx100s had alot different power delivery than the late model ones, since they came with powervalves. The bigbores on the 100s usually give you more low end grunt. If you are looking for a screamer then you want a 92-97 BW kx80, send that topend to Ecir Gorr at Forward Motion the Delta Vforce3 reed cage will fit and a 28 mikuni TM off of a rm80 bored to 30mm and FMF makes a rev pipe. That combination will clean any late model kx80 or 100 up.CBX

We have a 2009 KX100.  We'd like to keep all of the grunt we can since he mainly races cross country.  Most of the bikes he races against are either 105cc, 112cc or 150cc.  He does pretty good against them with a stock bike (2nd and 3rd places since we bought it) but were just doing a little research on how to make it faster.
