Title: Wide ratio transmission???

Anyone ever determine if a KLX/KLR650 transmission will fit the KX?

Someone had said that Larry Roesler had said they used the 4/5 combo for a wider spread in the desert, but it was determined that they were the same ratios as the KX. The 1-3 gears are wider though, but I never heard if anyone found if they would work in the KX.

I do not know about the KLR stuff, but I know that Stewart Rouse has an overdrive 5th gear that you can swap out. He said he gets about 115 mph with stock gearing (14/47).
