Hey guys after a long brutal ride I noticed oil leaking from the front counter shaft sprocket. I ordered a new seal & coller. Iam not sure what to really replace? I was able to get the sprocket and the steel coller out, where is the seal? Basiclly iam asking " how do i fix this" thanks matt

You need the "O"ring between the collar and the gear. I also use a little RTV on the splines to keep the oli from running out between the collar and the shaft.

the seal must be visible after sprocket and collar are removed,if not ,it,s still dirty ?
then get some little screw, insert it into the seal ,then jank it right out ,clean up and insert new seal gently ,
use the old seal exact over the new one to give the new seal a ferm final tick in place with a small rubber hammer .

Im betting he has a star shaped pattern of oil on the sprocket. Pattern lines up perfectly with splines on shaft.

youre definately right jerry ..
actually i do have m on one of my bikes too ,but i didn,t took action yet because its so minor
they look like ninja stars

Is the seal the the outer rubber piece that i can see with the sprocket removed?

Yep

ok guys sorry to keep bothering you, When oil is leaking from the counter shaft sprocket is it the outer large oil seal i replace or the inner O ring?

Start with the Oring and if that doesn't stop the leak then do the seal, or solve the problem for sure just replace them both at once , I bet you can buy them both for less than $10. CBX
