We are meeting Sunday May 31, Down town Picher Oklahoma @ 12:30 P.M. give or take a half hour.
U.S. Highway 69 also called Connell Ave. and E 20Rd. also called A street.
The high horse power boys from Missouri (Stewart, K5abuser, Jfab, did I miss anyone?) and I are meeting up at Picher Oklahoma.
This will be one of those "Let K5abuser try it, if he makes it we will follow." What if he makes it and we're still scared? I have all my excuses ready:
My chain is loose.
Hold on, I got sand in my eye.
I'll be right back, gotta take a leak.
Or the famous, K5abuser makes it up the big hill turns around "Hey where did everybody go?"
This will be a day trip, few hours riding, some test and tune, just a play day.
If you can make it great, if you can't we will take pictures.

Hey Doldguy sounds like a roadtrip Roostdaddy and Doughboy are ready to roll and with a couple of truckers in the mix we could make it no problem but work might be a problem on monday. :-DCBX

sounds like the excuses are allready ssssstarting to fly . lol :-) i am not the fastest but i will probable be the biggest and ill make it to the top :? hey i just made fun of my self . :x i forgot to turn the gas on ( all the way ) my chain was too tight , i was thinking if my wife wishes she was here , my 1/4 turn trottle only turns an 1/8 , um k5s size makes him apear closer than he is . hey i made fun of my self again :x :| / looking forward to the ride . we will have fun .

I over heard Stewart say "There's 2500 cc's worth of K5's sitting there", as I was shooting the picture. We met up about 1 o'clock in down town Picher Oklahoma. 3 miles over to the riding area. We lined up the bikes before the ride. I'm tired and going to bed. 8 hour drive round trip. I'll give a ride report tomorrow. May be one of the other guys will chime in. Here's a few pic's.

I have only seen this many Kaws side by side on a dealer show room and only 1 maybe 2 K5 would be in that line up. It was a fun day.

My 98 KX 250 sometimes scares the snot bubbles out of me, I can't imagine what the power band of a mighty 500 would do to me! I think if I owned one of those I would have to buy some stock in the underwear business.

It looks as if Kawasaki ruled this weekand. We had our Tecatefest on the other side of our continent this weekend also.

Jfab- thanks again for letting me borrow your bike. It was very gracious of you and much appreciated. You have made a beleiver out of me in the KX450 and as soon as I can come up with a way to get Starfleet Command (my wife) to agree to it, I WILL own one.
Just so you all know- Stewart invited me to ride with the boys on one of his big bore 500's and I didn't think much of it, I wasn't intimidated by the engine's size- I just wanted to get out an ride. While I haven't been actively riding for quite awhile, I figured "Hey, I used to ride and race 250's... I'll just respect the 500 and make sure I don't try to ride it like a 250 or 125." Well that would have worked if I could have kickstarted the dang thing. I was given a quick education in high-compression engines. I only weigh 160lbs and I COULD NOT get Stewart's bike to fire up. Stewart and friends were patient with me, and after kick starting the bike for me after stalling it several times, Jfab loaned me his 450 and I greatly appreciate it. I came home sore, arms pumped, right knee swollen, picking gravel out of my helmet/jersey/pants (which is another thing I learned quickly, and that is you do not get behind one of Stewart's bikes, especially without a chest protector!!) and I was in an awesome mood the rest of the night. Watching his bikes wheelieing through 5th gear and climbing the chat piles was awesome. Thanks Stewart!!

what fun and can notttt wait to do it again . we need more people to show up cooler weather and i will bring a gas grill big enough to cook for everyone. it was fun racing and watching everyone have fun . the drag race on the custom asphalt drag strip was cool . ( :wink: :wink: ) was a fun time. danger it makes us even more thankful for this site when we can get with others and have a great time. your bike and jfabs were nice and next time maybe you can show how you guys jump the doubles :lol: .

It's nice to see you guys getting together for a ride. Wish I lived closer (much much closer - athough with the red bike I would likely have to pit behind the outhouse). Cam.

Sounds like everyone had loads of fun! For what it is worth, we went to the local SCUBA dive store and got Kevin a weight vest. Whenever he needs to start the KX he just slips it on , kicks and then leaves the vest in the pit.

this is off topic but i saw ur bike picture and was wondering what kind of rear fender you had on ur k5. i have a 2000 k5 and want a fender that looks similar thanks
