CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW TO IDENTIFY A KX500SR ENGINE AND GEARBOX ?

I HAVE BEEN OFFERED ONE WITHOUT THE BARREL AND HEAD AND IT IS BELIEVED TO BE EX DAVE THORPE [POSSIBLE RECEIPT TO PROVE WHICH I HAVEN'T SEEN YET !]

I HAVE BEEN ON THE ROB ANDREWS LINK.

WOULD THE GEARBOX FIT INTO STANDARD CASINGS ? INDEED ARE THE SR CASINGS DIFFERENT ?

ANY INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED , THANK YOU.

The main thing to see is the 2 piece clutch cover if it hase one.
And if the gearbox fits?  No idea. Think that they stick to the "stock" model castings.
But could be different.

Is there an advert and what about the price??????
