Title: Hello from East Texas!

I just bought an 84' KX500 that had been sitting in storage for 16 years.  Bike was hardly riden by its owner and is still like new and runs hard.  Not alot of info or parts avalible for this bike so I hope to find info and advice for this year model.   The old bike is a handful, my friend and I lined it up for a drag race with an 08' CRF450R and the Honda didn't have a prayer. Not bad for 25 year old technology. We cleaned the carb, aired up the tires, gased it up, and fired it up.

Welcome to the site.  I don't know where in East TX you are but my buds and I do a S.E. OK. ride every year.  Last year they passed a new law, only tagged vehicles no off road unless your hunting with the proper license and permits.  If you have a dual purpose bike you should join us.
