Title: 97 K5 complete rolling chassis value?
Post by: redlined_KX500 on March 16, 2009, 12:21:31 PM
I have a excellent to mint condition 97 K5 I'm pulling engine to put in 08 KX450F frame.

Comes with new Dunlop 756's, new race-tech suspension front/rear re-sprung and re-valved for 190lb A level rider, all new pivot point bearings including steering stem bearings and wheel bearings. Plus a pro-circuit works exhaust and new OEM silencer.

Question is, what is a fair price for this unit and/ or would it be better to part out.

Mainly looking for some guidance from the K5 guru's. I hate to break this bike down but I've been drooling long enough for a 500AF.

Save the Procircuit exhaust. You will need it to do the conversion.

Im glad you started this thread.  I might be doing the same thing hopefully sooner than later.  I say you keep the chassis and drop a zx-10 motor in it :)
