Title: Airbox and plunger seal
Post by: Paul on November 27, 2003, 01:48:11 AM
A friend of mine with a KX250F sent me this:

"I got a notice (from Kawi) in the mail a week ago about the air filter seal. I also got a notice about the plunger on the carb. It seems that water can get down into the plunger and dirt gets around the airbox seal and causes valve problems."

Just thought I would pass it along

I always use silicone around the air box seal.Funny Honda had that problem for more than one model year, you think they would use a sealer after the first time.

Go with the Twin-Air kit. You disassemble, remove the 'Back-Fire' screen and reseal everything. Better filter, more air, more H.P.!
