Title: 86 kx500 exhaust help
Post by: sharpy on February 21, 2009, 07:16:51 AM
Am I missing something? Or all that holds the pipe in the port is three springs? It just blew the two oring gaskets apart.

 Sharpy,
I think the combination of the three springs and the mount to the frame keeps the exhaust from actually popping off the flange at the head.
Being an earlier model there may be a little too much play in the fitment of your pipe and the flange. (Normal Wear)

Fixed it!! The silencer was totally clogged. Put a new fmf and new oversized orings at the head. It runs like a raped Ape. Holy sh$t!! :-o :-D
