Title: Kicker wearing on pipe.
Post by: martinfan30 on January 26, 2009, 12:41:29 PM
Just got my new to me 2000 KX%!

Man is it quick, and suspension is nice! The GPR stabilizer is a little different at first.

Is this common?

I'm afraid it looks that even if you rotate the kicker a spline or two it's still gonna hit.
You may be able to have someone put a small weld bead on the flat part of the kicker on the inside where it hits the stop.
If you take the kicker off  you can see the "Flat" where it ends up at rest.
A little build up will rotate it away from the pipe.

Heck, you may be able to put some J.B. weld there to see if it will work for you. (the weld).
Small exhaust wrap "Bandage" to keep the noise/rattle down?

The only other option (I think) would be a new kicker.  That small "Flat" gets worn and the piece rotates farther in than it should.
  P.S.  Nice Bike! Congratulations :-D

Good and simple idea. Thanks, I'll give the wire feed a go this weekend.

Mine hit my Gnarly so I rotated it one spline forward to make it clear. Cam.
