Title: Missed Bargains
Post by: KawiKid on January 08, 2009, 07:38:24 PM: Late one thursday afternoon I went to our local news agents to buy the "quokka" its a class fields magazine cars,boats,Bikes mostly second hand now in this mag there was a listing in bold letters FREE 2001 KX500. the instant I saw this I rushed to the phone called the generous man who owned the bike he just gave it away like 30 seconds before I called :cry:
Any way I would of had the bike if it was listed under motorbikes not cars but this got me thinking there must be other people out there who missed out on bargains like this so tell us your stories do we all miss out or is it just me :oops:

then I started swearing at the class fields if only they categorized it properly I would have a bike to have when Im older

i bought 2 of the 500,s off a marketsite,
was highest bidder so i got ,m.

got one via a buddy ,who knew one sitting somewere for years..
got a complete motor accept wheels and forks from a seller who saw my dutch site.

so i did have succes ,but for free.. i never found one for free :lol:

Heard of a 2001 Ducati 747 SS with carbon pipes, upgrade injection etc etc (wasnt advertised, just word of mouth via tow drivers I knew).. NICE BIKE. only had 7,000miles on it.... Bike had been stolen here in san diego, and was recovered in Yuma AZ. They had since not been able to find the registered owner. (not sure as why)... So the tow yard was legaly able to sell the bike... BUT FOR ONLY THE IMPOUND FEE OF $350... I got there as somone else was rolling it into their pickup truck.... I planned on riding it for a summer and making some $$$$$$.. Needless to say I jumped up and down and screamed a bit....
