Hey Guys,
Been half-sick all day. A couple bikes got stolen from friends last night. They kicked in the shop door and snagged two of four that were not locked up, and left many other valuable things. They attempted to cut his log chain on other bikes, but apparently gave up. This of course made me double up security on my machines. Kryptonite Cables through wheels, and a definite higher priority on locking the door behind me. Thieves suck. I don't care if they have an attitude problem, mental issues or a drug addiction, I think they should be tortured in any way the bike owner can make-up. The owner should only have to stop, if the wormy thief dies, and then just to resesitate him back for more abuse.
Anyways, this may be a good time to go over shop security, so none of us have to deal with what my budiies are dealing with now. Times are changing

Skinned alive and rolled in salt... and then ,so they don't suffer too much, brush the salt off with a wire brush! I have had bikes stolen from me. I know how it feels.

I have not been successful in trying to find a Lojack, type transponder that will work on a dirt bike without a battery. In this technologically advanced age we are in, there should by a device to track stolen dirt bikes. That way the dirt bike can be retrieved and the torture can begin.
I feel my security is lacking, my garage is well locked, and the bike is double cabled, but I think that is not enough. More locks ? or more camera's? Land mines ?

I had a thief get into my backyard once when he was trying to get his grubby paws on my dirt bikes and/or street bikes...........unfortunatly for him my pittbulls "OSO" and "VIXEN" decided to change his mind for him. :-D

I read an article in "performance bike magazine" (British) a few years ago about a group of guys who's hobby was trapping bike thiefs. The magazine did a ride-along with them. They would put out a bait bike and then hide in a van nearby until someone tried to steal it. Then they would beat the cr#p out of them. It was quite satisfying. Cam.

I haven't had a bike stolen (they must not have had a truck or trailer) but they did snag my helmet (what good is it to them?) they also took off with some tools, CD's, and riffle. I was sick for days, felt violated, faith in humanity near zero.
Torture suggestion: BURNS - burn 1/4th of their body, let them heal a bit, burn a different 1/4th, let them heal, repeat as desired. Be sure to jam matches under their finger and toe nails then light - let heal, repeat as desired. Finally have a doctor stitch up their poop and pee holes, then feed them gatorade and bean burritos until they burst and die.
OK, this may be a little severe. I HATE Thieves!!!!!!!!!

Our 2 pitts have been doing a good job at keeping "prying eyes" away also.

:-o
do you americans have the right to bare arms in all 50 states..??
sure you keep ,m away with that.
nice bike btw :-) doggy too :-D

All states have the right to bear arms, it is in our constitution. Although, some require alot of paperwork and back ground checks. Personally, I have quite a collection of guns (shotguns, pistols, and rifles) and welcome the chance to meet a thief AGAIN. Last time my bike was stolen, I let him have quite a few nasty blows prior to him being arrested. Those were for all my friends that had stolen bikes. I actually felt bad we had beat him so bad. What was even better is the officer got a few good licks in after he attempted to run again.
Where I live in the US, you can buy any LONG firearm with minor information and a small background check (takes about 1 minute), as for pistols, you have to obtain a permit for $5 and that takes about 5 days. To conceal a firearm, I had to take a small class and pay $80 + $75 per year and it takes about 10 days for the carry permit to go through for extensive background checks.

this is our guarding animal :-D
she barks like a dog ,and scratches hell out of ,m thieves

personally, i think that the government should bring back PUBLIC STONING as a punishment for deserving criminals. bike thieves are definitely deserving of a good stone to the head. don't you think it would make people think twice about what they are about to do?

Man, do labradors actually bite? I've never met an angry lab, met a few that could probably lick to death though :-D

You know your dogs well. She acts real tough, hair stands up, barks loud and mean. But if I let her out she runs up to sniff. If the person puts out their hand to pet her you could generate electricity with the tail wag. The dog walks a wide path around the shop cat.
My co- worker puts this box in his chair to keep the cat from sleeping in the chair. He makes sure he lays it flat after seeing the pictures.
The dog is good for waking me if someone comes around.

I agree. There really is no use in productive society for thieves. I say we get rid of them!
