Title: Tobys K5 project
Post by: tobys 2 strokes on November 23, 2008, 07:49:36 AM
Does any one have acess to a wiring diagram for a 98 K5? I am in the process of putting one into a T4 and am not quite sure which wires go to the coil and kill switch I think I can figure it out but would like to know for sure.
Thanx
      Steve ....
Here is a link to my project.

Project looks great... what part of Oregon are you from? I am from the Salem, Albany, Corvallis and surrounding areas but now in western WA. Planning on heading back down that way in the spring for good and cant wait to tear up the dunes again. WA turned out to be a total failure and almost 3 years of set-back. Work ran out and the rest of the family I moved up here to be close to is on their way out too. I have a buddy down there I go to Florence, Winchester Bay etc. with and he is into the 4wheelers too. We'll have to get together next spring/summer and fling some sand!

Hey, we all know these chasis and suspensions are outdated. It really is all about the power-plant. KX500 means KX500 and Kawasaki means Kawasaki. A hybrid is a hybrid whether two wheels or four. Feel free to share all you want.

Very nice, ive got an old quadracer i put a k5 in. Vibrates worse then yours though by the sounds of it. I have been talking to Stewart about that too. We think we can come up with something. Nice work, did you say that pipe is a cr500 pipe? Thats exactly what i was thinking of doing myself. I got one on there now but think it could be better with the cr pipe. I sent yoou a pm also.

Yes its a cr 500 fmf from a 1990 I think it works good and I like the way it fits. I will see how well it actually works when I get a good carb and get it in the sand Its actually way more than I am man anoff to use in the dirt.

I SOOOO want to do this...  Unfortunately, it will prolly be in an '86 or '87 Honda 250R frame. (unless I can score a Cannondale chassis for cheap...  There's issues there though with the sprocket on the wrong side I think.)
