Title: KX 250 1990 motor fit a 2002 frame ?'s

will a 1990 kx 250 motor fit in a 2002 frame????? anyone can help?

Depends if you're asking if it'll fit straight in or not?

Anything is possible with a bit of fabrication, but the first generation perimeter frames are quite a bit wider than those of an '02. I would assume that the cases at the rear swing arm pivot/motor mount would be a good bit wider on the '90.

Depends on if you have nerve to relieve the cases of some metal and how much you can take off?

I dont think it would be too much trouble.. the pipe will fit, the intake will bolt up.. the mounts shouldnt be too far off... the biggest problem will likely be diameter of the swingarm pivot bolt.. good luck ;)
