Title: Transmission oil capacity
Post by: trumanator3 on October 17, 2008, 03:29:43 PM
Just picked up a 97 kx500, and want to make sure it has good fluids before I take it out for a ride. Unfortunately it didn't come with a owners manual, so does anyone know the amount of transmission oil I should put in? Also, this is going to sound really stupid, but where is the drain bolt and the bolt that you take out to make sure you have enough oil in?

Thanks for the help.

Trumanator,

Cam 22 found on a link for free online service manuals, ( your KX should be in here)
 It's not just for bikes.
Use the word
 "Library"
 for ID and Password;
click Small Engine Repair, click Motorcycles,or whatever.
 The motorcycles are Clymer manuals but still contain good information.
There are hundreds of manuals here for your perusal.
