today i recived  a great book to read from ,,,friar tuck ,,, off this web page  he sent it with a nice letter its a older book on race tuning and very good reading  i had hoped to find such info and out of the blue got this book,,thanks friar tuck for the good gesture  it dose not go un noticed,,stewart

That is great to hear.  There are a lot of things in those old books.  Many ideas people have know about engines have already been thought of and explored half a century ago.  The nice thing about the old ideas in the books that did not work is that they did not have the materials and technology to further development.  A lot of knowledge is out there just waiting to be revieved years later.

    I Don't reckon I could ever "get even" for all that I learned gleaning through you alls  posts.
