OMG! My new bike is HOT! And I DO MEAN HOT as in STOLEN!
Yep....in my quest for the paperwork I just found this out....
THIS SUCKS!
I won it on Ebay for $3150! I drove from the most northern part of NY down to South Carolina to pick up the bike. I put around $500 into the bike since it has been here.....
I contacted the police from the 3 states involved....
Gonna try and straighten this all out and get my money back. I hope Ebay will reimburse me....
I'm a wreck about it actually....
There is one good thing about it...some poor guy just got a call today telling him his 500 was found.
I always try to do the right thing....

d**n, that completely sucks for you but it's cool for the poor fella that got ripped off. Hopefully things go well for you and E-Bay does the right thing. I hope the thieves get caght, tossed in the slammer and "Bubba" does "the wrong thing" to 'em
I F'N HATE thieves...

My State Police (I called them) just impounded the bike!
Ebay has NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL ON THIS TYPE OF STUFF!!!
Oh yeah....and don't think I didn't take my new chain, sprockets, and exhaust off first! Cause I did.

Man, for your sake I sure hope Karma smiles on you! Tough luck to loose one that nice...for both the original owner AND you. Like Paul said, hope eBay is there to help you out....be VERY persistant with them. I have had my account hijacked many times, but in the end eBay was willing to help me out and make things right. Best of luck!

You think they'd pay? I can't even get a whole of them....
Thier link help system SUCKS.

The ebay Item # was 2433983136
Just goto www.ebay.com and once there just put in that item number and hit search...

I saw this auction when it was running. It sure reads like the guy who sold you the bike seems for real....can you assume he is legit and got took on this as well? If that is the case, I seriously doubt eBay will do anything to help you. I suspect you will have to get your cash from the seller (assuming he isn't a crook). Major bummer all around! :x

What's odd is when I asked the guy where he bought the bike he told me Aiken's in Aiken, South Carolina. I told him I'd be calling to get the paperwork (his supposed ex-wife threw them out and a lot of other stuff in a recent divorce) and said he'd have no problem signing anything if I need him to (which I would have). When I called Aiken...they said that he has bought a couple bikes there BUT...not my KX500!
So there went both your and my assumption on "good faith" that this guy was ledgit. He must be incredibly stupid.
I'm not gonna get into any details yet...the case is still open.

Well then, after getting all the info you need, I hope you nail his (and anyone else involved) hide to the nearest fence post for all to see! Please keep us informed of what happens.

I will....

Holy-crap-oly! What a shocker!
You did the right thing. Man, I sure hope you get you $$$$ back! That really, really SUCKS!
Good Luck, Hulkster! I'm keeping my fingers crossed....

Rowdy, he got it back a few months back and then sold it for a four wheeler. I almost traded it for mine. ;-) But, couldn't get to NY or where he was in time. But, he sold it. I believe he ended up having to BUY it back.. Crazy huh? Stupid world we live in. :-)
