Title: Need help asap - tranny

Help!  I was planning on bringing my KX500 to Unadilla to race in the am days on Friday and Saturday before the pros on Sunday, and I got the bike out for the first time in a while this past Saturday.  It worked great for the first 10 minutes or so as I was pounding out laps, but then all of a sudden it would not shift at all.  It is stuck in 3rd or 4th gear.  The shifter moves up and down freely, with spring tension pulling it back, but I don't feel it move anything, if you know what I mean.  I drained the oil last night and it looked okay - no metal pieces or anything.

Tonight I am going to pull off the clutch side cover and see if i can spot anything out of the ordinary.  Is there anything in paticuliar I should be looking for?

sounds like you definitely have to take it apart...
im no expert but had my amount of gearbox issues and they always have to come apart :|
