I am getting ready to send out my forks and shick for a rebuild. i have stock springs and have never revalved. I weigh 225 -230lbs with gear. I will get some heavier springs but was wondering if a revalve is necessary or just correct springs for my wieght. I iride desert and occasional dunes.
How many of you have revalved vs just springs and occasional rebuilds?

DST,
If you are sending it out to have that work done I would suggest getting a revalve included. On my 92 it was impossible to get suspension compliance and no-bottoming with the stock valving and only spring changes. I am about 225 with gear. Cam.

I think for best results on the revalve you will need to provide the company as much info as you can. It can be tough to send your suspension to some one and just tell them what you?re looking for and expect them to get it right on the money. Provide them rider weight with and without gear, Terrain you ride through, level of rider and maybe even a video of you riding at your local track or across the desert. Provide them with details about any problem area's you have noticed while riding, bottoming out, harsh at lower speeds or at higher speeds, etc. I think this will help give you best results. Some companies provide shipping boxes and spec forms to fill out.
