Title: Squeeling Front Brake Fix
Post by: KXcam22 on June 01, 2008, 03:49:16 PM
Some info that might help others.  My 92 KX500 front brake developed a terrible squeal. Was embarasing to use it. I endured this for most of a season while I checked for the cause, disc was straight, in spec. with a good surface, pads new (also tried some others), caliper tight, caliper pistons working together.  I was stumped so out of desperation I resorted to putting some automotive type pad glue (that I had lying around) on the back of the brake pads.  Fixed the squeal instantly.  I have never used this on an M/C before but is seems it can have it's uses. Hope this helps someone. Cam.
