Title: Slipper clutch?

Does anyone do a slipper clutch set up for the 500's? I've got a '94 set up for supermoto and have been nosing around a little and have found nothing.

Well they are $800 bones for the 450's, I would consider that. It gets some crazy wheel hop on the pavement :-o I've had it pretty d**n sideways coming into a fast sweeper and had it start to chetter real good, can get a little interesting to say the least!!!!!

Just saw the post and started to wonder.........

A slipper clutch is a 'reverse torque' clutch as opposed to a rekluse type of centrifical clutch.

I wonder how less 2S engine braking would affect the way the slipper engages?

Use light clutch engagement when you brake hard and try to press down backwheel as much you can.
OR try to learn how to slide with brake and clutch.
About shutter,it?s a damping question and rideheigh.

A real slippery clutch(STM) from H...a crf450 can be "adjusted" to fit K5 if you are handy and got the money! :wink:

I run it at stock height and the suspension was really needing some lovin. I just got gold valving for the front and rear, I'm hoping that with fresh oil and stacked for sm instead of dirt will help it out.
I was also running pilot power roads before, now I've got some maxxis presa slicks which should help a little as well.
I also have a magura hydro cluth that needs to go back in, I broke the nipple off the end and haven't put the new part on yet. It gives a little smoother pull than the cable.
