2006 KX250. So two weeks ago at a race, I fell over on the right side of my bike. When I got up, the throttle cable was't pulling. Turns out it pulled out of the slide.
Now, fast forward two weeks. A friend was riding a 2008 RM250 (same carb) and he had the same problem. Anyone else heard of this? Any good fixes? thanks

I think someone put a hex on you lol j/k I have never heard of such a thing. Does your carb have a plastic retainer clip for the cable end?

if you are talking about the white round plastic piece, then yes.

The only way i can see it happening is... if your cable is too long. The adjusters hold the cable tight. if they loosen the cable has play and that could happen.
This is what came to mind. i could be right i could be wrong.

I have had that happen. It is rare and usually happens when the retaining clip inside the slide is not quite bottomed out in the slide and is combined with a fall and a bit too much throttle cable slack. Cam.

I thought cable play might factor in...i keep a little extra as insurance for when i get tired in the tight stuff.
It happened after I made a needle adjustment, so I'll bet I didnt get the retainer back in there flush. Thanks for the feedback.

In the old days euro bikes used to be bad for that since some didn't even have clips. Cam.
