Title: will a top end off a 1997 kx 125 fit on my 1993 kx 125?
Post by: maverick89 on February 22, 2008, 10:10:38 AM
I own a 93 kx 125 and i need a new end, as the one i have was overported by some hack and then ex-poxied. My question is, will a top end of 1997 kx 125 fit on my 1993 kx 125? Reason being, i might be able to get one off a 97, then build with that.

thanks, chris

I dont believe so.  The '92 through i believe the '95 or '96 kx125's had interchangeable cylinders.  I think they change the design or something.  I could be wrong but all ive seen is that it is compatible with the '92-'96.  If you do get a different year cylinder, you have to get a piston to fit the cylinder as well.

Hope this helps

I looked it up in my book and it is the '93-'96 cylinders that are compatible with each other.  Just wanted to clarify that.
