Title: flywheel wheight

does anyone have a pic of the flywheel wieght installed. got my motor half apart and i got the optional magneto flywheel part is mine the one with the weight?  i'll post a pic when i get home.

this is my flywheel. does it have a weight? when i looked it up it said this was the optional flywheel!!!  i don't think it is weighted but  :? :? :?

Bro, did you see the pic?  The gold disc is the weight.  That gets removed then the second pic is just the flywheel....which is what your pic is.

So NO, you do not have one. :-D

Yea, I found out about the weight here also.  The bar with the square hole is for install/removal of the weight.  The weight just replaces the flywheel nut.  It has 4 allen head set screws that screw into the flywheel to keep it in place.  Never remove the allen screw with the weight installed.  The holes are crimped on the outside edge of the weight so they can't come loose in the ignition cover.  If you need to remove a set screw for some reason you have to remove the weight from the flywheel and screw the set screw in toward the crank shaft bolt hole.
