hi i have just bought a basket case kx500 and i need to find out what year it was built frame no starts kx500be ------ any help would be great

I believe that is a 1986 Model.

    000001-001800 = '85
    001801-004100 = '86
    004101-006600 = '87
    006601-008500 = '88
    008501- on      = '89
    010701- 004000 ='90
    013001- on      ='91,'92, '93
