i want to polish some aluminum parts on my bike and other toys, however i have not done much aluminum polishing. i am interested to hear what tools and chemicals/compounds you guys have found to give the best results. bench mounted vs. hand held air or electric polishers are what i'm most interested in hearing about. thanks for any input you may have. this is the only way to go...
i have tried just about everything on the market, and some off the market.
Griot's aluminum polish is good, it is one of the easyest to work with.
but if you feel like spending some time Heavy metal polishes work well, but i always find myself stripping the silicones off after using it to bring out better deapth anf clearity.
right know i am trying to develop a motorcycle cleaner, It works awsome but it cost about $1.3 per ounce.... it will get there.

You should use a good aluminum sealer after polishing so all of your hard work lasts a while and does not oxidize right away.
