Title: STOLEN! Destry's old bike
Post by: Danger4u2 on December 18, 2007, 02:18:50 AM
As a community if we keep an eye out for this or any stolen bike,
# 1 We might find the bike.
# 2 We'll keep these Son's of Bit*h's from riding with honest people because they will be in fear of getting caught.
I know if someone steals my K5 they better hope the cops catch them and not me.
I think a ball peen hammer on the knee caps goes a long way compared to jail time.

Danger,  I'll keep an eye out here in Michigan.  Whenever I see a KX500 on the trails,  I usually look it over, so 037352 has to show up somewhere.  When the DNR stops a bike or quad on the trails, they always record the vin. I dont know if other states do that, but it's a good idea.

Theres no chance of seeing it over here but will it have anythiong engraved on the side of the cylinder as well as the usual VIN number?

Its quite common for tuners to at least put the name of the bike owner on there and maybe a number or something?

From memory there was some mention of the tuner called Varner on some of Destrys bikes, perhaps its got some other identifying marks as well as numbers which can be ground off?

stealing another guys bike???? now thats LOW. that ranks right up there with fooling around with another guys wife in my book. LOW, LOW, LOW!!!!!!!!! i hope the guy rides it in a place where someone from this site will find it. i know if i found it i'd return it to the owner and refuse the reward. just to get it back to the owner would be reward enough for me. hope this guy gets his bike back.   MADDOGGY
