Title: 99-02 KX250 shock options.

I'm looking for a shock for the rear of a 99-02 generation KX250.

Other then the obvious (99-02 kx125/250) what would work well? Would a 04-08 rear shock fit and be an upgrade? Is there even a difference?

In 04, the linkage changed. The 03 is similar to what you have, I believe. The shocks may bolt up, but they are usually valved for the linkage ratio that the donor bike has.
