I had my 98 frame, sub and swingarm coated. I did the sand blasting myself and brought them either the stand or my original bars to match the frame color. They matched it perfectly. The swingarm was powder coated silver just like stock.
When you get the parts back, run a tap through all the various threads on the frame, and sand out all of the bearing bores for a nice clean surface. A good coater will plug these areas, but some paint may still get in there.
Within the first week of finishing the bike, I cased a natural double. Just below the surface dirt was a huge boulder that put a dent in the underside of my frame....the coating stayed in-tact.

We blast frames all the time for a coater up the road from us. His customer brought this chemical striped frame and Wes sent him to us before he would powder coat it. Chemical residue causes problems.

Here's my 98 250 just before I sold it in 01. The frame & swingarm was done in the winter of 98.

was it painted or powder coated?
just wondering why you went with the same kawi green and not another color?

The frame and swingarm were both powder coated. What color should they be? Orange? :-D I rode that bike real hard and it showed in the first couple months. I didn't want it to look like crap so I got it powdercoated.
Keep in mind, it was 1998 when I did it. Honda just released the aluminum framed 250 the year before. There was no such thing as a silver frame.......plus, I kinda like green.

If you mean on my 98, those are Works Connection. Devol makes better rad guards tho.
