I got my 03' 500 up to 3rd place at the Matthews Farm GNCC in Open A class sunday. I was leading for a while, but one bad lap set me back. I'll hopefully get a win in by the end of the year.  Just wanted to let everyone know the big green bike isn't just for deserts and can still place well out east. It will also put a hurting on those KTM 300's that are so popular in this class!!

You know, the 500 weighs less with more power, so I've never understood why folks think a 4 stroke is better in the woods than a 500.  Once I installed the flywheel, I love the 500 in the tight technical.  I, too, race Open Expert, and do quite well with the big bore 2-stroke.

Congrats on the finish....

I ran my KX 500 in the Open C class last year.  Managed a 21st at Sparta and 18th at the Ironman.  This year, I'll be in Senior C at the Ironman.  We'll see how well I do against the age and treachery class!!
