Just scored a 1993 KX250. Cost NZD$1500 (approx US$1100)
New tires, chains and sprockets. Motor easy to start and very crisp.
Only thing I can fault the bike on is the kicker, rear wheel bearing and front mudguard has a split.
Everything else is great, including suspension, gearbox, clutch, brakes etc.
Now I just have to learn to ride the thing as it is a massive step up from my 1980 TT250!!!!
Power comes on harder than any bike I have ever ridden, including my mates CR250 and KTM450...yeeha. This will take some getting used to if I ever do. :-o

Welcome. Who wants to get used to the power? It should always be crazy fast. If you do get used to it, there's always the 500's. They're only twice the motor that you have there!

Yeh New Zealand.
A mate has got the NZ motocross track and a great 15m Enduro track on his farm less than 3 miles from my house. Will be testing the bike this weekend!!!

the KX250 is a great bike. you'll have fun on it for sure. when you do get used to it, look for a KX500 and you'll find 60 m.p.h. wheelies!.....WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Soon you'll feel comfortable enough, welcome and enjoy your bike!
