Title: mounting gps on bars

hi all, how many have mounted their gps to handlebars? i'm worried about it shutting down due to vibration. alot of people hard wire them to their bikes, but with the 500, that's not an option. i'm tired of having to stop and pull it out of my camelback, but i don't want to ruin it either. any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about a tank bag with a clear map section to put the gps in?
