Title: Hows the 2003 250?
Post by: Ihscoutii on May 06, 2007, 12:17:34 PM
I dont suppose an 03 kx 250 would make a very good single track bike would it?

What would you say this bike would be worth with 10 or so hours on it? Its got a PC pipe and 296 muffler, 10oz flywheel weight, cycra hand guards, a skidplate and an IMS 3.3 gallon tank. It comes with all the stock stuff too. Looks like its in great shape, the guy said he replaced the topend the first two summers and then messed up his back, so it has been sitting for a while.

There was kind of a weard rattle in the powervalve area. He told me that was normal??

I put 3 seasons of enduros on my 03 250 without any major problems. My girlfriend raced hers for 3 seasons also, it even went to the ISDE in 03. They make great woods bikes with the proper setup. It sounds like the one your looking at is similar to mine, except for the pipe, I had a FMF Gnarly with a 296 silencer. As far as the rattle noise goes, I never heard it from ours. We now ride 04 250s(bought as leftovers at the end of last year) and have had nothing but good luck so far.
