If you would be willing to part with one, I would like to buy one. Then we must find the guy who destroyed the dies and whack him.

wonder if you could use the dementions and make it out of carbon fiber, coat the inside with ceramic coating for heat protection and make it work?

well If you are not using the dies the stamping company wants $1800.00 a year to store the dies. With the death of the two stroke kx500 the company that makes the pipe no longer has a interest in doing so.At that point the dies start costing money to own and the metal they are made of is worth more than the die itself so off they go to be recycled

I know this might sound like a daft question but how much space do the dies take up?

kxs in oz, I have just e-mailed you some information and two photos that I think you might be interested in..

The e-mail title is
Dave Thorpes SR 500.
These are small versions of the photos I have sent you and as far as I have been told is the bike that Dave Thorpe owned, it used to have only four gears but now has five and gets used for hillclimb sprints.
Thats why it has sticky tyres and a big front brake disc.
You can't really see the many welds on the small picture but they show up on the big pictures I have sent you.
The bloke was selling it a while ago but I was skint so didn't even ask how much.
