Title: Jetting question
Post by: robchulo on July 24, 2003, 01:24:46 AM
I recently bought a 94 KX500 and I was wondering what jetting changes have to be made, if any, if I move from 1000 feet to 6000 feet in elevation.  Will the bike still start easy and run well?  I know that it won't run to its potential, but I am wondering how much of an effect it will have.

Thanks
Rob

it should start, and run... be careful when you go to wide open throttle, that's where i had major plug fouling issues. i would keep a spare with incase it fouls out on you. if you are at 6000 all the time, or even for the summer, i would rejet, including a smaller pilot, makes a big difference.
