Just as a matter of interest, how many litres can the tank hold?
If you only know how many gallons please state if its US gallons (which I would pretty much saaume anyway but it's nice to be sure) or imperial.
Is it the standard tank or a bigger one?

Regards Scott.

its the stock tank- 1.9 US gallons  on a KX450F

i'm sure any dez tank made for that chassis would also fit,or be easily modified to fit..

Any noticeable differences between a CR500 pipe and one of your new FMF pipes? Or possibly any dyno runs done for each pipe?

the pipe i made was a one off, and just intended to get the project
 rolling.
i never planned to make biukes production with it and always intyended to have PC and FMF make a specific pipe.

as far as comparison ..
very little difference,
perhaps there was a very slight loss of bottom end on my hand made pipe..

but!!!!!!!

i did do a bit of research with both PC and FMF before making it!!
to match things as closely as i could to the KX500 pipe shapes and
lenghts.
That pipe took my far longer to make, than the bike itself..

but either way now that i have production pipes that hand built one is tossed at this point, having served its purpose =)

I'm curious to know if it's worth it.  I've always been a 2stroke guy and desperately want one of these updated frame conversions, but these new 4strokes are pretty advanced.  I've never ridden one, but is it worth it to ditch the 4 for the old 2?  How does the torquey 450 compare to the torque pig 500?  Don't just say night and day, convince me.  How bad will that beautiful conversion in the pics whoop on a 450?  I'd like a heads up comparison.  I'll definitely read the mag article, but I just wanna know if the conversion is worth it if I buy a new 450, or 250 for that matter.  Which brings me to another question, which one is better for the swap?  250s are loads cheaper!  I'd appreciate an unbiased response although I know this is how you make money.  Please do so if anyone can answer.  Thanx.

And my hard question......how long (or not long) can you ride on a tank of fuel? My 500 SWILLS fuel when heavily loading the engine doing speed runs.
