Title: 1st Ride
Post by: KXcam22 on March 30, 2007, 11:55:26 AM
I love not working fridays.  Had a phenominal 1st ride in the snow. Found everything from dust to mud & snow and even a few moose. Lots of icy creeks to cross. Pure heaven.  Here's some pics.  I have a couple of videos I'll put in my gallery tonite. After sitting all winter the KX started 2nd kick. Cam

Sure glad you like it up there in the cold! I use to ride my motorcycle to school in the winter in Colorado and I still hate that white cold stuff!

I does look like you were having some fun! :-D :-D

It was 65F that day so not so cold.  I would say that it is very similar to riding in very soft sand.  Gotta keep your speed & momentum up.  Most of the snow is gone here. The ground is completely thawed and the snow patches remain in the shaded areas in heavy trees.  I was wishing I had a helmet cam that day to show everyone how much fun it is. This is nice time of year here. Went golfing this morning and will go skiing tomorrow. Cam.

Yikes...  that bike doesn't look like my bike after a days ride.  I just have to blow off the sand!  I am sure that your riding gear is the same camo as your bike Cam...  hehehe   I wear white LBZ riding gear...

Looks like fun Cam, I have been riding every weekend since buying my KX500 about a month ago. Already wore out one rear tire, just put a new one on today. It's been raining hard every time I took the bike out, I have been soaked. Some puddles were about three feet deep. I found out that if you go fast enough the skid plate works as a ski. Still allot of fun though. Great photos by the way!
